Therapy focuses on the past and the unconscious mind. Therapy is about recovering from dysfunction and making the right adjustments. Coaching is not targeted at psychological illness. Coaching focuses on the present and the future. A coach assumes the client is whole with strengths and resources. Coaching works with the client's conscious mind and is goal oriented.
What is Life Coaching?
Life coaching helps with developing positive habits, finding balance, dealing with stress, following your intuition, clarifying your life's mission, identify and developing talents, removing blocks, and improving your professional life.
What is Relationship Coaching?
Relationship Coaching focuses on the client's relationship with another person. It can be a love relationship, friendship or family member. We'll work on the vision for the relationship, becoming a better person in the relationship, the laws of relationships, conflict resolution, being authentic and communicating effectively.
What is Dating Coaching?
Dating Coaching focuses on the clients dating life. Helping the client gain clarity on the type of partner and relationship they want. Then, we work to empower the client by building confidence and explore where that special person is.
How long does coaching take?
It depends on the client and their needs. To benefit and accomplish change from coaching, most people need more than one session. I suggest clients commit to the process with more than one session.
Is coaching covered by health insurance?
Coaching is not a mental health service. Therefore, it is not covered by health insurance.
What makes coaching convenient?
Coaching is convenient because it can be done from the luxury of your home or office. There is no traffic or weather to contend with. Coaching adds another level of privacy if done by phone because the client's physical identity is anonymous. Therefore, allowing the client to feel free to be open about issues and goals during the session.
What does coaching training or certification signify?
The training or certification signifies that the Coach attended an industry recognized Institute of Professional Coaching, successfully completed the required course, then passed a certification exam.
